Wash, peel and cook the potatoes in salted water. Peel the crackers and cut them into slices.
Drain the cooked potatoes and mash them with a potato masher. Then add the butter and the hot milk and mash with a hand blender to a fine puree.
Heat the oil in a pan and fry the crackers until crispy. Arrange them together on a plate.

Mixed vegetables or a fresh salad go best with it.
