For the shrimp appetizers, finely chop the shrimp. Peel the carrots and cut into small cubes. Also finely chop the cabbage and fry everything in a pan with a little oil.
Deglaze with a dash of soy sauce and season with salt and a little pepper, if desired. Put flour in a bowl and stir in very little hot water until a tough dough is formed.
Divide the dough into walnut-sized pieces and now work the dough by hand or with a rolling pin so that it becomes almost transparent. It is important to roll out the dough very thinly.
Put a pot of hot water on and place a strainer in the pot (the strainer should not touch the water). Place about 1 tablespoon of filling in the thinly rolled out dough and fold it in.
Steam the shrimp bites for about 10-15 minutes, turning halfway through.
Preparation Tip:
The shrimp bites are best dipped in soy sauce or a sweet and sour sauce. The batter can also be fried or deep-fried.
