For the banana nut cake, first grease and flour a baking pan (either loaf pan or square pan). Preheat the oven to 180 °C.

Chop the nuts. Peel and mash the bananas.

Beat the sugar with the butter until fluffy. Beat in the eggs one by one, then mix in the honey.

Sift flour with baking powder and baking soda and mix with salt, cinnamon and cardamom. Stir into the butter mixture alternately with the bananas.

Empty into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the chopped nuts on top. Put the banana nut cake in the oven for about 40 minutes.

Use your favorite nuts for the banana nut cake. Brazil nuts and walnuts taste especially good on this cake.
