Instructions:

Cut the bread into fine slices. Bring the milk to the boil and pour it over the bread, let the bread soak in it for half an hour.

Heat butter, fry finely diced bacon in it.

Peel and chop onion, chop parsley and sauté briefly. Allow to cool.

Add to the rolls together with the eggs, salt and nutmeg and mix well.

Form medium sized dumplings with cold hands. Place in boiling, salted water. Let stand for 20 minutes.

Serve as any side dish.

The dumplings go very well with mushroom ragout, as well as any roast dishes.
