For the caramel slices, place all the ingredients in a bowl or on a work surface and knead quickly with your hands to form a shortcrust pastry. Let rest in the refrigerator, covered with plastic wrap, for two hours before processing.

Preheat oven to 170 ºC hot air.

Spread the dough about 1 cm high on a small baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for about 20 minutes.

In the meantime, prepare the caramel layer: Let the sugar caramelize. To do this, heat a pan. Sprinkle in the granulated sugar and let it melt, without stirring. Once the sugar is light brown and melted, pour in the whipped cream and coffee liqueur. Bring to a boil and only then stir. Reduce heat to low and allow to thicken for about 40 minutes.

Simmer for a few minutes to thicken further and mix with the nuts. Spread the warm caramel mixture on the finished base and let it cool. Then cut the caramel slices into pieces.
