Preparation in the “field stove”:

Mix grated cheese with flour, salt and spices dry. Mix gradually add the milk and beaten eggs.

In cooking kettle fry finely chopped onions and garlic, add to the quantity and mix well. Season with bell pepper, paprika and nutmeg. Leave to rest for 3-4 hours.

Cut bread into 1 cm thick slices and spread them on one side 1/2 cm thick with above described quantity.

Heat oil in deep fryer (use 15 L fryer). Bake the bread slices in batches with the coated side down, until light brown. Drain the baked slices well in a sieve and keep warm.
