Wash the mint, shake dry and pluck.
Mix plucked mint leaves with half of the sugar and puree finely.
Add the remaining sugar and water and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring, and simmer for a few minutes.
While doing this, make sure that nothing burns.
Strain the sugar-mint mixture with the help of a cloth, let it cool and pour it into glasses or bottles rinsed with cold water.
