Try this delicious cake recipe:

Make a sponge cake with light butter, sugar, 1 egg, 3 egg yolks, flour and baking powder. Preheat the oven. Spread 1/4 of the batter evenly on the greased bottom of a cake springform pan (26 cm ø).

Then whip the 3 egg whites and the 200 g sugar to snow. Spread 1/4 of the egg white mixture evenly on the first pastry base and sprinkle with flaked almonds. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 175 °C (best with top and bottom heat). Make 4 bases in this way, one after the other. When the cakes have cooled, whip the whipped cream until stiff and unsweetened. Carefully remove the first cake from the springform base and slide it onto a cake plate. Spread 1/3 of the whipped cream evenly on top. Remove the other cakes from their springform bases one after the other and layer them alternately with whipped cream. At the very top, there should be a layer of cake meringue. The cake can be served fresh, but it can also be served after it has been left to stand for a day.
