Instructions:

For the couscous peppers first bring 2 cups of water for the couscous to a boil. The bay leaf, some soup seasoning and olive oil to the couscous mix and pour over the boiling water, stir briefly through, the lid on it and infuse!

Meanwhile, dice the onion and give about 1/4 of it aside for the sauce! Fry the rest in oil. Chop the ham and half a green bell pepper very small and add to the onion! Season and mix with the cheese to the couscous!

Season again and then fill into the 3 hollowed out peppers and brush with oil. For the sauce, fry the remaining onion briefly and deglaze with the strained tomatoes and the cream, season with salt, pepper, parsley and if necessary some soup seasoning!

If it is too sour, add a coffee spoon of sugar! Pour the sauce into the baking dish to the peppers, add some more cheese on top of the peppers and close with the lids cut down before.

Bake at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes or at 800 W for 25 minutes in the steamer for the microwave. Good luck!

Preparation Tip:

If some of the filling is left over, you can also serve it well as a side dish! To the couscous peppers goes very well green salad!
