Instructions:

Whisk flour with sugar, baking powder and salt. Add butter and chopped walnuts and stir everything.

Lightly beat the egg with the milk. Add to the dry mixture and knead until stiff.

Roll out on a lightly floured work surface to about 1 cm thick and cut out circles.

Bake at 200 °C for about 12 minutes on a lightly greased tray.

Serve the scones still warm, sprinkled with chopped walnuts.

Preparation Tip:

Serve the scones with clotted cream and jam.
